BARABARA STEELE
Barbara Steele is best known for her work in gothic horror films of the 1960s. She gained international recognition for her dual role in Mario Bava’s Black Sunday (1960), which established her as a horror icon. Steele went on to star in numerous Italian and British horror films, including The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), The Horrible Dr. Hichcock (1962), and Castle of Blood (1964). Her striking features and intense performances made her a staple of the genre. Later in her career, she moved into producing, working on projects like Queer as Folk, but remains celebrated as one of horror cinema’s most enduring legends.
